About
168 Ventures combines business diagnosis, operating strategy, AI, automation, and software delivery so the recommendation does not stop at a slide deck.
We started 168 Ventures because too many businesses are sold technology before anyone understands the operation.
We begin with the workflow, the evidence, and the business outcome. Sometimes the answer is a process change. Sometimes it is an off-the-shelf tool. Sometimes it is custom software or automation. The solution earns its place by removing cost, reducing risk, or improving revenue—not by being fashionable.
Our role spans advisor and builder. We diagnose the constraint, define the value case, turn the decision into an executable scope, and deliver the system when implementation is required.
168 Ventures also operates and develops its own ventures. That owner perspective shapes the standard: practical economics, explicit tradeoffs, maintainable systems, and no dependency created merely to extend an engagement.
How accountability works
Before an engagement begins, you know who is responsible, what will be delivered, how progress is reviewed, and what happens after launch.
Your proposal identifies who owns strategy and delivery. You are not sold by one team and handed to another.
The baseline, success measures, assumptions, exclusions, and acceptance criteria are written down before build work.
Short delivery cycles, working demonstrations, and a decision log make progress and tradeoffs visible.
Access, source, documentation, training, data boundaries, and ongoing support are confirmed in the engagement terms.
Advisor
We map the current operation, establish a baseline, surface assumptions, and rank opportunities before recommending a build.
Builder
Software, AI, and automation are delivered in observable increments with client review, testing, and controlled scope changes.
Operator
Documentation, access, training, ownership, safeguards, and support are part of the handoff—not an afterthought.
Before you hire us
Those details belong in the conversation and the written scope. If they are not clear, the engagement is not ready to begin.
